Introduction
Your privacy is important to us. In this privacy statement we therefore inform you how we use your personal data and what your rights and our obligations are in that regard.
In particular, the following rules form the applicable framework: The General Data Protection Regulation (AVG), the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO) and the Act on Quality, Complaints and Disputes Care (WKKGZ), as well as the rules laid down by the professional and dispute resolution organizations to which I am affiliated, namely the Collective Alternative Therapists (see: https://catcollectief.nl/) and the Dispute Resolution Authority Alternative Therapists (see: https://www.gatgeschillen.nl/ ).

Privacy in a Pranic Healing treatment
For proper treatment, it is necessary and mandatory that we – as your treating therapist – maintain a client file. Your file contains notes on your health condition and data on the examinations and treatments performed. Also included in the file are data that are necessary for your treatment and which, only with your explicit consent, have been requested from another health care provider such as the family doctor.
We do our best to ensure your privacy. This means, among other things, that we:
a. Careful handling of your personal and medical information; and
b. Ensuring that unauthorized persons cannot access your data by securing it properly.
We – as your treating therapist – have sole access to the information in your file. We have a duty of confidentiality, in accordance with the requirements of applicable law and of the applicable professional and litigation organizations mentioned earlier.
A small portion of the information from your file is used for financial records so that we or our administrator, can prepare an invoice.
The data from your file may also be used for the following purposes:
a. To inform other health care providers, such as when therapy is completed or when a referral is made to another practitioner. This is done only with your explicit consent;
b. For use for observation, during the absence of the treating therapist; or
c. For peer consultation on a completely anonymous and non-reducible basis.

If we want to use your data for any other reason, we will first inform you and ask for your explicit consent. As required by the WGBO, the data in the client file will be kept for 20 years. If you wish, you have the right to add a self-declaration (of a medical nature) to your file. You also have the right to request (partial) destruction of your medical records. This can be met only the data should not or may not be retained by law.
